PODIATRIST
Marieke Bizet
I am Marieke Bizet, I have done athletics at top sports level, from here my passion for anatomy and the human body has grown. My goal is to enable people to exercise without worries. In our practice, we use the most innovative techniques (pressure measuring plate, 3D scanner, 3D printed soles, etc.) to map the human body as accurately as possible.
But what exactly does a podiatrist do?
A podiatrist treats people with foot complaints and complaints caused by an abnormal foot position and/or an abnormal walking pattern. This usually involves pain in the feet, ankles, knees, hips or back. A podiatrist also provides preventive advice and treats abnormal toe positions and (serious) skin and nail conditions. Common activities of the podiatrist are;
- Measuring and manufacturing podological soles.
- Treating foot problems in children and adults.
- Treatment and advice for pain in the feet, knees, hips or back.
- Manufacture of orthoses for abnormal toe positions.
- Treating an ingrown nail.
- Remove recurring calluses and corns.
